Ruth plays the traditional English dance tune My Lady Carey’s Dompe on Renaissance bray harp and joins mezzo soprano Lotte Betts-Dean to perform the traditional Irish tune My Lagan Love. Ruth plays a 13th C English Estampie and 16C English work Greensleeves on Renaissance bray harp in an evening of music hosted by Christopher Lawrence. The concert also features Tan Dun’s Concerto for string quartet and pipa and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio in A minor Op.50.

Governor’s Gala – Traces and Transformations – Townsville Civic Theatre, Australia
From Chinese folk music, to Schoenberg’s truly exquisite ‘Verklärte Nacht’, this program pays homage to the vivid worlds of song, tone poems and an instrument Mozart enjoyed taking to new heights. Ruth will perform on concert harp with Wu Man (pipa) and percussionist Timothy Constable in the Australian première of Yao Dance.
Australian Festival of Chamber Music – Opening night Concert – Creations
Kathryn Stott, the Artistic Director of AFC has invited Ruth to perform on harps throughout the 2019 Australian Festival of Chamber Music Festival taking place in Townsville. She will play Graham Fitkin’s Recur on concert harp with the Goldener String Quartet on the opening night in Townsville Civic Theatre.
