Directed by Mike Shepherd with music by Charles Hazelwood, The Tin Drum is a folktale for troubled times: a dark, burlesque comic extravaganza, which is at once daringly provocative, political and profound. Ruth and Graham were asked by Hauser and Wirth to curate a programme of music for a mini festival in the small town of Braemar in the Cairngorms. The festival features world-class musicians who will perform a variety of music from Renaissance Portugal, through Tallis and Bach, to present day Scotland. The programme includes the superb Simon Haram, a solo saxophonist, Ruth Palmer "the most distinctive violinist of her generation " and The Marian Consort, a young, dynamic and internationally renowned early music ensemble.  Ruth Wall will join the Marian Consort on concert harp and perform a short work with Graham to start the Festival.  Tickets include a complimentary drink at the start and a light supper at the interval.

Regularly voted one of the greatest masterworks of cinema history, Dreyer’s version of the story of Joan of Arc’s martyrdom is famously based on the transcripts of her trial. Opening night of a new work created by Ruth and visual artist Alessandra Ausenda. Combining a gigantic dress, a sound piece created from a battery of sewing machines and several live sewing machinists, The Operators explores the exploitative working conditions of much of the garment industry and alludes to the criminal network which often surrounds it. Exhibition continues until 9th January.
