Britten Pears Arts – The Fairly Relentless Piano Quartet

This year I am joining the incredible pianists Kathryn Stott, Clare Hammond and Graham Fitkin in a programme of minimal music for two pianos, eight hands.

Graham has been creating compelling, propulsive, layered music for several decades, with influences including his teacher, Louis Andriessen, and Steve Reich. This programme celebrates the huge diversity of music built from minimal materials. As well works by Fitkin, Steve Reich, Morton Feldman, Anna Meredith and you will hear the new   Fitkin commission and a work by one of this year’s featured composers, Bushra El-Turk.
